Highest first week collections at Kerala box office
Box office success reflects how much a movie attracted its audiences. Recently some of the Malayalam films has done excellente business in Kerala Box office. Popularity of Malayalam films and a hike in ticket charges really helped them to amass such a huge revenue from box office. Collection reports are not the final word to judge the quality of movies. Ironically, some of the excellent movies are also failed in box office.

It has collected 10.30 Crores from the first week during its iconic run in box office. Recently Charlie and Kasaba clocked nearly 10 crores in Kerala box office. Two countries, Amar Akbar Anthony and Bangalore Days has collected more than 8 Crores in box office.
On Sep 14, 2016, Oppam has broken into the top position by collecting 12.60 Crores from boxoffice in first week. Another Mohanlal movie, Pulimurugan, has created history in October,2016 by collecting over 25 Crores in Kerala boxoffice in 7 days.
