Tovino Thomas’s political satire Theevandi, which had its release date rescheduled several times, is finally arriving the movie halls this Onam. The trailer of the movie is very much promising and it obviously raised the bar of expectations over it. Written by Vini Vishwa Lal of Second Show fame, Theevandi is directed by debutant Fellini T P.

4. Padayottam
Talented actor Biju Menon trying Thiruvananthapuram dialect is the major highlight of the gangster comedy movie Padayottam, directed by debutant Rafeek Ibrahim. Biju plays Chenkal Raghu, a local goon based in Thiruvananthapuram in it. The movie is bankrolled by Sophia Paul under the banner of Weekend Blockbusters, a banner that gifted us some wonderful movies like Bangalore Days and Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol.

5. Varathan
Iyobinte Pusthakam is one of the finest film experiences Malayalam movie buffs have ever witnessed. When the makers of this movie is uniting once again, we can expect nothing less than a masterpiece. Written by Suhas – Sharfu and directed by Amal Neerad, Varathan features Fahadh Faasil and Aishwarya Lekshmi in the lead roles.
