Baahubali fame Sathyaraj to be a part of Mohanlal's Odiyan
Popular south Indian actor Sathyaraj, who played Kattappa in the Indian epic Baahubali, will play a crucial role in the upcoming big budget movie Odiyan. The movie, in which Mohanlal is appearing in the titular role, is scripted by National award winning scriptwriter Harikrishnan and directed by Ad filmmaker turned director VA Sreekumar Menon. The movie tells the fifty-year-old history of Odiyans, a tribe who lived in Malabar area in the pre-electricity era.
The movie will have five high voltage action sequences choreographed by Peter Hein. The movie, which will entirely be shot in 3D, also has Manju Warrier and Prakash Raj. Reportedly, Prakash Raj is playing the role of prime antagonist. Production design of the movie will be done by Baahubali fame Sabu Cyril and Cinematography by Pulimurugan fame Pulimurugan. This big budget movie is bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. The shooting of Odiyan will commence in Banaras from August 27.
