Kerala high court allows actor Dileep to fly abroad
Popular Malayalam actor Dileep, who is currently out of jail on bail, has been granted permission to travel abroad by Kerala High Court on Tuesday after he filed a plea in the court seeking relaxation in his conditional bail. In his plea, he stated that he has to go to Dubai for four days for attending the inaugural function of Dhe Puttu, a restaurant co-owned by him. Even if the prosecution side vehemently opposed the application, Justice Sunil Thomas directed to release his passport, which is currently surrendered to Angamaly first class judicial magistrate, for six days.
Dileep was arrested in association with Malayalam actress abduction and assault case. The actress was abducted in a moving car in Ernakulam on February 17, 2017. Six people, including the prime suspect Pulsar Suni, were arrested immediately following the incident. Later, police claimed that Dileep was involved in the conspiracy surrounding the issue.
