Please don’t boycott Ramaleela, requests Manju Warrier
Actress Manju Warrier seems to surprise everybody with her stand on boycotting her ex-husband Dileep’s upcoming movie Ramaleela in theaters. According to a Facebook post by the actress, boycotting a movie in theaters is not the right way to express the hatred towards a person, as cinema is the cooperative effort of a group of people, from the director to the lightboy. If people avoid this cinema in theaters, many producers will not dare to fund film projects in the future. However, she didn’t mention Dileep’s name in the entire post.
Interestingly, Manju Warrier’s Udhaharanam Sujatha too is releasing on September 28. The movie, directed by Phantom Praveen, tells the story of Sujatha, a struggling widow. The movie also features Mamta Mohandas, Nedumudi Venu, Joju George and Anashwara in important roles. The movie is jointly produced by Joju and Martin Prakkat under the banner of Finding Cinema.
