Ramaleela officially enters the elite 50 Crore club

Tomichan Mulakuppadam was the one who funded Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan, the first Malayalam movie that entered the 100 Crore club. Now, his next after Pulimurugan, Ramaleela starring Dileep, has entered the prestigious 50 Crore club. Tomichan himself announced this through his official Facebook page. According to him, the movie, which was released on 28 September 2017, has grossed about 55 Crores worldwide till now. Now, Ramaleela became the second Dileep movie that reached 50 Crore mark after Two Countries.

Dileep plays Ramanunni, a cunning politician, in the movie, which is scripted by Sachy and directed by debutant Arun Gopi. It also features Prayaga Martin, Siddique, Mukesh, Kalabhavan Shajon, Vijayaraghavan, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Sadiq and popular producer G Suresh Kumar in significant roles. The controversies revolving around Dileep and calls for boycott definitely helped the movie to gather good footfalls.
