South Indian Actress Manorama Passed Away
Famous South Indian actress Manorama (Aachi) has passed away last night due to multiple organ failure at Chennai.She has been admitted to hospital for some days due to difficulties. She was 87 and is survived by her son Boopathy. Having acted with legends of Tamil Cinema and current crop of actor, she holds Guiness recods for acting more than 1000 films.
She started her career by acting in plays and got recognized by S. S. Rajendran , which paves her way to a long film career. She was a singer too and sung over 100 songs including 'Madrasai Suthi Paarka Poren', composed by A.R Rahman for May Matham. She was well known for adapting any Tamil dialects very easily to her onscreen character.
She acted in few Malayalam films as well. She debuted in Malayalam with 1972 film 'Vidhyarthikale Ithile Ithile', directed by Legendary John Abraham. 'Aankiliyude Tharaattu', 'Madhuvidhu theerum Munpe', 'Akashakottayile Sulthan' and 'Veendum Lisa' are her notable works in malayalam.
