Wow! Mohanlal’s Odiyan to have a simultaneous Telugu release

Mollywood superstar Mohanlal’s much anticipated movie Odiyan to have a simultaneous Telugu release on December 14 owing to the lead actor’s popularity among Telugu audience after the movie Janatha Garage. The movie also has Prakash Raj, who is a popular actor in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, in a significant role. D Abhiram and Samapath Kumar of Daggubati Creations have bagged the theatrical rights of the movie in Telugu. If the reports are to be believed, Junior NTR has been roped in to give voiceover for the introduction scene of the movie in Telugu version.

Odiyan, written by Harikrishnan and directed by V. A. Shrikumar Menon, is based on a Kerala folklore about a man known as Odiyan who has shape shifting abilities. The movie also has Manju Warrier, Innocent, Siddique, Narain, Santhosh Keezhattoor, Sana Althaf and Kailash playing important characters. It is funded by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.
