Pooja Banerjee was born on November 8, 1991, in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. Her father name is to Neil Banerjee and mother name is Poornima Banerjee. Akash Banerjee is her brother. Even though she comes from a Hindu family in Bengal, she spent most of her childhood in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Banerjee went to Centre Point School and Hislop College in Nagpur for high school and college, respectively.
She got her bachelor’s degree in business and then her master’s degree in English literature. She has also competed in swimming for Maharashtra at the national level. She did a 5 km sea race in the Arabian Sea and a 14 km river race in the Hooghly River.
