Kohinoor is a Malayalam movie 2015 directed by Vinay Govind. It is the second movie with Vinay – Asif Ali combination. The movie gave Asif Ali the label producer. Asif Ali produced the movie under his own banner, ‘Adams World of Imagination’. The movie had an above average opening in theaters.
Kohinoor casts Asif Ali, Aju Varghese, Indrajith Sukumaran, Aparna Vinod, Vinay Fortt, Chemban Vinod, Sudheer Karamana in lead roles. Reportedly the first half of the movie was a little dragging but the second half was energetic and entertaining. The movie, made with a budget of Rs 4. 50 crores approximately, have excellent reports so far and is running successfully.
The songs of the movie had become great hits. ‘Hemanthamen’ has become a hit song which reminds us about Malayalam songs of 80’s. Rahul Raj had composed the beautiful songs for the lyrics written by Harinarayanan B.K. Kohinoor 4 day Kerala gross was Rs. 4.07 crore and Net gross Rs. 3.16 crore.
