Carly Russell is a 25-year-old woman who went missing after calling 911 to report a toddler along I-459 in Hoover, Alabama. When police arrived, they found no sign of the child or Russell,  but they discovered her abandoned car, wig, phone, and purse, which contained her Apple Watch and AirPods. She was last seen on Thursday night and returned home on foot on Saturday night. Her parents believe she was abducted. Police and officials in Hoover, Alabama, have provided updates on the case, including information about Russell’s “strange” search history. However, they are having trouble verifying some of the information.

$25,000. About that much was raised by the non-profit Crime Stoppers of Central Alabama as a prize for anyone with information about what happened to Russell. After they get home, the money is returned to the people who gave it. Bob Kopas, the head of Crime Stoppers of Metro Alabama, told AL.com that Hoover police “are not asking for any money in this case.”

Her Parents Believe She Was Abducted In Alabama

Carly Russell fought mentally and physically for her life, and her parents said that in an interview with TODAY on Tuesday. Police are still looking for the person who took her.

“We tried to hug her as best we could, but I had to stand back because she was not in a good state, so I had to stand back and let medical professionals work with her,” Talitha Russell said.

She walked back to her house Saturday night. Carly Russell’s mother said they were shocked when they first saw their daughter, but Carly needed medical help. Saturday night at 10:44 p.m., cops said they got a call that Russell had walked home.

Police came to the scene to look into it, and Hoover fire medics came to check on Russell and take him to UAB hospital to be checked out.  Carly Russell went missing, and her parents said they didn’t know what happened to her then. They think that the person who took the child is still out there, so cops are still looking.

She told TODAY that she was shocked by how many people “lied on purpose” during the probe. She said that people making fake accusations about Carly Russell are causing her stress.

“She definitely fought for her life,” Talitha Russell said to TODAY. “There were moments when she physically had to for her life and there were moments when she had to mentally fight for her life.”

Carlos Russell, her father, added, “She made it back.”
