About Mahaveeryar
Mahaveeryar which was directed by Abrid Shine is a “time travel” movie, was based on a short story by M. Mukundan. Chandu Selvaraj was in charge of the film’s photography, and Manoj was in charge of the film’s editing. Ishaan Chhabra wrote the music for “Mahaveeryar,” and BK Harinarayanan and Assanu Anna Augustine wrote the words for the songs in the movie. Plot of Mahaveeryar
The movie is a fantasy courtroom play that takes place in the past and is based on a story by the well-known author M. Mukundan. On one side, Nivin Pauly’s character, an ascetic named Apoornananthan, is accused of stealing a statue from a temple. During the court proceedings, the makers show how out of date the country’s legal system is by comparing it to a case from hundreds of years ago in which a minister (Asif Ali) kidnaps a woman to make the king happy. The rest of the movie’s story is about how the legal system deals with the case at the time.
