Prime Video has given the go-ahead for Good Omens season 3, and there are some exciting new details about the last set of shows. The movie Good Omens is based on the book of the same name by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.
It’s about an angel named Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and a demon named Crowley (David Tennant). They’ve become close over the many years they’ve lived on Earth and now have to put aside their differences to stop the world’s end.

There will be a third season of the famous Good Omens, confirmed after months of rumours. Neil Gaiman not only confirmed what everyone had been waiting for but also hinted about what might happen in the last season.
It looks like Armageddon will be at the story’s centre once more. Author Neil Gaiman says that only Aziraphale and Crowley can stop the end of the world. However, this strange pair is in a fight that could destroy everything.
Confirmation on Season 3 of Good Omens
ScreenRant says that Amazon Prime Video declared in December 2023 that there would be a third season of Good Omens. The third season will also likely be the last one, completing Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s original plan for a trio.
When might the Season 3 of Good Omens come out?
On December 14, 2023, the Hollywood Reporter announced that the show had been picked up for a second season and that filming would “start soon in Scotland.”
Based on that, we can guess when the series might come out. The Writers Guild of America strike made it take longer to work on the story, so Gaiman started writing at the end of September 2023.
The second season came out about two years after it was filmed, and there was a four-year gap between the first and second seasons. However, Covid did cause the delay.
Since filming is set to start soon, the earliest we might see season 3 of Good Omens is in the first half of 2026. That comes straight from Gaiman on Tumblr.
Gaiman has also said that season 3 will be the last one, ending the show.

As per reports of Radio Times, “Now, in Season 3, we will deal once more with the end of the world,” Gaiman said when the show was renewed for a third season, giving away a story clue. Things are not going as planned for Armageddon. It can only be fixed if Crowley and Aziraphale work together. They don’t say anything.”
At least some of the new season will follow Aziraphale and Crowley’s journey as they (hopefully!) get back together.
In the last scenes of season 2, Crowley kisses Aziraphale, shocking the angel so that she chooses to return to heaven without the demon. In a split-screen ending, the two unhappy people are shown going their different ways.
In season 2, Maggie Service played a new character named Maggie on Good Omens. She told RadioTimes.com, “Where we end, I think, is so beautifully written because none of it’s tied up in a bow, none of it’s Hollywood magic.” It’s natural in your dream world. What will happen next?
