What Will Happen In The Sandman Season 2?

In the first season of The Sandman, we meet Dream, the Sandman, who was caught by a group of occultists more than a hundred years ago. After being locked up for decades, he finally gets out and sets out to find his “articles of office” to put things back in order in his kingdom, which had become unbalanced while he was away. On his quest, he meets many people, some of whom are good and some of whom are bad.

These people include Johanna Constantine, Lucifer, and John Dee. By the end of Season 1, Lucifer has vowed to get even with Dream for beating him in a game and making him feel bad about himself. In the books, Lucifer tries to do this by getting out of Hell, sending the souls of the damned back to the world of the living, and giving Dream the keys. This causes forces from all over the universe to try to take over Hell. This is expected to be the main plot point of the second season, along with what Dream will do with his new power.

Also, since Lucifer is no longer the keeper, all the souls from Hell now stuck on Earth make for a good B-plot in the comics, and Death is a big part of it. On the other side of the story, the second season should also explain why and how Dream sent his ex-lover, Nada, to Hell. The second season will likely have arcs from The Season of Mists, one of the most famous and influential books in The Sandman series.
