Lesser Known First Appearance of Popular Malayalam Actors

1. Biju Menon

Biju Menon has started his acting career in movies in 1995 as lead role in the movie 'Puthran', directed by Jude Attippetti. But he has appeared in the movie 'Eagle', released in the year 1991, in an uncredited role of hotel receptionist. Biju Menon started his acting career through Malayalam television serials.

2. Divya Unni

The talented dancer and actress, has entered into film industry as child artist. Her first movie as a child artist was ‘Nee Ethra Dhanya’, in 1987. The lesser known fact about her is, she has also appeared in the movie ‘Pookalam Varavayi’ , as a child in the school bus.

3. Jomol

Jomol entered Malayalam film industry as child artist. Her first movie as child artist was ‘Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha’, which was released in the year 1989, as young Unniyarcha. She then appeared in the movie Sneham, pairing Jayaram. The actress then bagged National Film Awards, Kerala State Award and several others for her movie ‘Ennu Swantham Janakikutty’.

4. Indrajith Sukumaran

Acting and entering to film field was not new or difficult to Indrajith Sukumaran, having a movie background. His first movie was ‘Oomappenninu Uriyadappayan’ in an antagonistic role. But his first appearance was through the movie ‘Padayani’, released in 1986, as a child artist.

5. Keerthi Suresh

Keerthi Suresh, being a Malayali, is now one of the most popular actress of South film industry. She was first noticed as a child artist in the movie ‘Kuberan’, released in 2002, but her first appearance in film industry was through the movie ‘Pilots’, released in 2000. She appeared as one of the church kids in the movie. She also appeared in the movie ‘Achaneyanenikkuishttam’, as a school kid.

6. Jayasurya

Jayasurya’s debut movie as a hero was ‘Ooma Penninu Uriyaadapayyan’. But the hardworking and dedicated actor has acted in few films in cameo roles. He has appeared in movies ‘Three men army’, in 1995, ‘Gramapanchayth’, in 1998 and ‘Pathram’, in 1999, but his character was not noticeable in these. His face was seen and noticeable in the movie ‘Dosth’ even though his role was cameo. He appeared in the movie as a student in a fight with Dileep.

7. Samvrutha Sunil

Samvrutha Sunil being one of the most admired actresses, debuted in lead role in the movie ‘Rasikan’. But her first appearance was in the movie ‘Ayal Kadha Ezhuthukayanu’ , as a background young  girl , in the climax scene. This was knownless to many people.

8. Fahadh Faasil

As you all know Fahadh Faasil's debut movie was 'Kaiyethum Doorath', directed by his father and renowned director Fasil. But the lesser-known fact is that, Fahadh has appeared in a movie as child artist. He was seen in a song sequence in the movie 'Pappayude Swantham Appoos'. You can see him, wearing a green shirt, among the kids in the song ‘Kakka Poocha’.
