1. Enma – Arc: Wano Country
Enma used to belong to Kozuki Oden, a famous Samurai. His blades were given to his children when he died. Kozuki Momonosuke got Ame no Habakiri, while Kozuki Hiyori got Enma, named after the Japanese god of the dead. She gave Enma to Roronoa Zoro, who had just brought Shusui back to Wano Country with Shusui.
Enma is a mighty sword that only a few sword masters can use. It tends to pull all the Haki out of the user’s body. So, it’s powerful, but sometimes it hits much harder than even Zoro wants it to. Zoro has been training to get complete control of Enma. As a result, he is getting closer to being the best fighter in the world.
2. Kamazo’s Scythe – Arc: Wano Country
In the Wano Country story, when Gyukimaru stole Shusui from Zoro, he was once again one sword short. Zoro was trying to get his sword back when he was stopped by a man named Kamazo the Manslayer. This man was later revealed to be the Killer of the Kid Pirates.
To kill Kamazo for good, Zoro took one of Kamazo’s scythes and used it to do a limbo Onigiri, which cut through Kamazo. However, Zoro lost too much blood during the fight and ended up passing out.
3. Shusui – Arc: Thriller Bark
Shimotsuki Ryuma is a famous warrior, once used Shusui, known as one of the strongest swords in all of the One Piece stories. Moria stole both Ryuma’s sword and his body after he died. He then used the sword to help his army.
Ryuma was surprised by Roronoa Zoro’s bravery when they fought, so he gave the Shusui to him as a gift. The Shusui is an O Wazamono-grade sword that is very rare and strong. Also, it is a Kokuto, which means it has a “black blade” and is much stronger than a standard steel sword.
4. Sandai Kitetsu – Arc: Loguetown
Zoro got the Sandai Kitetsu in Loguetown. It is another strong blade. However, unlike Yubashiri, Sandai Kitetsu is a lower-grade sword. Roronoa says that this Zoro sword is even harder to learn than Yubashiri.
This is probably because the Sandai Kitetsu is an evil sword related to the evil Kitetsu swords. But it takes him only a short time to show that he is in charge. Zoro still uses this sword and has been taking advantage of the fact that it can cut through anyone who stands in his way.
5. Yubashiri – Arc: Loguetown
The Yubashiri was one of Roronoa Zoro’s first few named swords. Ippon Matsu gave it to him because he was impressed by how brave Roronoa Zoro was during the Loguetown arc. Yubashiri was a Ryo Wazamono-grade sword, so it was a powerful weapon, but better ones were in the line.
Unlike other swords Zoro has used, Yubashiri is a good one. During the Buster Call at Enies Lobby, Shu, a Captain of the Navy, destroyed Yubashiri. After the Thriller Bark arc events, Zoro paid homage to the sword and then replaced the Yubashiri with another blade.
6. Johnny And Yosaku’s Swords – Arc: Arlong Park
After Mihawk took his swords, Zoro had to find a new one quickly to do the Santoryu. When the group was fighting in Arlong Park, Zoro briefly took Johnny’s and Yosaku’s blades. People usually call these two swords “Nakiri swords.”
During his fight with Hachi, he used these knives. Zoro fought against the Octopus Fishman briefly, but that was because the wound Mihawk gave him was still new. The wound opened up in this fight and slowed him down, but the blades he had borrowed won the day.
7. Wado Ichimonji – Arc: Romance Dawn
Koshiro gave the Wado Ichimonji to Zoro at first. At first, this sword was meant to be given to Kuina, a girl at Zoro’s school who had beaten him more than a thousand times. When she died too soon, Zoro took over the Wado Ichimonji instead. He also said that if he did this, he would become the best fighter in the world.
Roronoa Zoro still carries this sword and’ll likely keep doing so until he finally beats Dracule Mihawk. 8. Seppuku Blade – Arc: Wano Country
Roronoa Zoro found himself in trouble moments into the Wano Country arc when he was framed for murder. Asked to commit Seppuku and take his own life, Zoro was handed a short blade without a tanto. As expected, instead of following through with the act, Zoro used the blade to mercilessly defeat everyone in his path, including the actual culprit: the magistrate.
Zoro’s mastery over the Seppuku blade was magnificent, despite its short length and intentional difficulty in handling. He could even imbue Haki into the blade. However, Seppuku swords are not intended for battle, and Zoro has not burdened himself with an unwieldy blade since then.
9. Dual Katana – Arc: Baratie
Roronoa Zoro has always been a practitioner of Santoryu, also known as the Three-Sword style. He had obtained the Wado Ichimonji from Koshiro, but he still needed two more swords to complete his arsenal. Consequently, Zoro initially relied on a dual katana system for combat.
However, both of Zoro’s katanas were shattered during his fight with Dracule Mihawk. While the Wado Ichimonji, being an O Wazamono-grade sword, withstood Mihawk’s powerful strikes, the two other swords were relatively inconsequential, as Zoro never wielded inferior blades.
