Jujutsu Kaisen is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. It follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers to eliminate a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, of whom Yuji becomes the host.
The manga has been serialized in Shueisha’s shōnen magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump since March 2018, with its chapters collected and published in 22 tankōbon volumes as of March 2023. It has also been adapted into a TV series.

Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 will focus on the story of Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto’s days as Jujutsu Tech students in the ‘Hidden Inventory, Premature Death’ arcs.
The story of how Gojo and Geto parted ways, hinted at in the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie, will finally be revealed. The season will take place in 2006 and center around second-year student Gojo and his mission alongside his best friend, Suguru Geto.
As Jujutsu High students, they are tasked with the job of escorting and protecting a young girl named Riko Amanai, who is to be used as a Vessel for the figure.

Is the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 film a prerequisite for Season 2?
Since Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is a prequel to the main series, we think it is excellent but does not require viewing. Swordsman Yuta Okkotsu is the film’s main character, and he will grow in importance throughout the rest of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime series (minor spoilers).
