When Akira woke up from a nightmare in which his boss yelled at him, he felt a massive relief when he learned that zombies had taken over the world and he no longer had to go to work. He popped open a few cans of beer to celebrate his sudden freedom but soon realized he was out.
Akira went to the nearby department store to get more things to sell. But as he was walking there, he ran into a worried couple who turned out to be his neighbours from the next building. After Akira got to his destination, he was shocked to see Shizuka Mikazuki, a survivor girl whose beauty left him speechless.
The girl quickly grabbed Akira and moved him away from where a truck was about to hit him. She said she would never put her life in danger by going with someone so careless. When the girl left, Akira saw that his bike had been broken. But he found a motorcycle in the end and headed back home.
When he got home, he was horrified that his new neighbours had gone missing. When he got home, he wrote down the first 33 things on his list: “100 things I want to do before I turn into a zombie.”
Shizuka was at home thinking about Akira. She wondered how someone could be happy by drinking a few beers during a zombie apocalypse. She finally regretted not having the dessert because she had to stick to the rules she had set up for herself.
