Hitmaker Nadirshah’s third directorial venture Mera Naam Shaji, starring Biju Menon, Baiju Santhosh and Asif Ali in the lead roles, has hit the screens on April 5. The movie has received mediocre reviews from audiences and critics alike. Our reviewer said, “Nadirshah seems to have not understood why his previous films worked at the box office. The humor was engaging, fresh and it stayed close to the story the movie was trying to say. Here the story itself is a brittle one.”
Mera Naam Shaji has got a good opening at the box office. It has minted around 3.84 Lakhs from Kochi multiplexes with an average audience occupancy of 90% and 5.71 Lakhs from Trivandrum multiplexes with 74% occupancy.
