Animal was in active production for three to four years, but if Vanga and his partners have a finished screenplay and the actors are available, the sequel may be released as early as the fourth quarter of 2025.
It took Vanga two years to prepare his last movie, Kabir Singh (2019), a Hindi-language remake of his 2017 first feature, Arjun Reddy. Given Animal’s enormous success, it’s inevitable that all project participants will be keen to duplicate it as soon as possible.
Should that not be the case, moviegoers may have to wait until 2026 or 2027 to see Ranbir Kapoor reprise his dual role as Aziz and Vijay in theatres.
