Vidyut Jammwal showed off the first look at his upcoming movie “IB 71” on Saturday. The film will be shown in theatres across the country on May 12.
The spy thriller is directed by Sankalp Reddy, who won a national award for his war movie “Ghazi” in 2017. Jammwal posted the first poster for the movie and a short clip from it on his social media accounts. “The biggest secret is out!
Vidyut posted a poster and an announcement about the release on Instagram. In the picture, the actor is wearing a uniform like an officer, and there is a red sketch of an airplane. Anupam Kher is also on the poster.
“A top secret mission that made us win the 1971 war,” is written on the airplane.
Reddy said that making “IB 71” was an “absolute thrill ride” for him. “The film’s interesting premise and the chance to learn more about undercover operations drew me in. With Vidyut Jammwal in the lead role, I knew I had an actor who could handle high-speed action scenes and give his character depth and nuance. The film’s director said, “I can’t wait for people to see the world of ‘IB 71’.”
The film is directed by Sankalp Reddy, who also made “The Ghazi Attack.” Vidyut Jammwal, Anupam Kher, and Vishal Jethwa play the main roles. “IB 71” is the first film that Jammwal’s production company, Action Hero Films, has made. Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series, Reliance Entertainment, and Abbas Sayyed also support the movie. Along with Aditya Chowksey and Shiv Chanana, the story was written by Aditya Shastri, a co-producer.
Aside from this, the actor from “Khuda Haafiz” will also be in the upcoming sports action movie “Crakk” with Jacqueline Fernandez and Arjun Rampal. The movie has already started filming in Poland and will come out in 2023.
