The Tracy Police Department has released the names of the two men who perished in a single-vehicle crash on Friday night. A press release identified them as Amrik Wander, 34, and Arvind Ram, 38.

A single-vehicle accident occurred in the 1800 block of North MacArthur Drive at approximately 9 p.m. on Friday, prompting a police response.

According to eyewitnesses, both occupants of the burning car perished in the blaze. A medical examiner ruled both males deceased at the scene.

“Any loss of life is awful, but when it may be avoided, as in a road accident, it is more tragic. Police Chief Sekou Millington sympathised with the community for losing two members.

At around 9:08 p.m., police received reports of a single-car accident with flames engulfing the vehicle and occupants still inside, according to a press statement.

When firefighters from the South San Joaquin County Fire Authority arrived, they found the car fully engulfed in flames, within which both men had already perished.

Sergeant Mike Richards said the department’s Traffic Safety Unit is investigating the crash. He added that the team is still gathering estimates from measurements and other information, but preliminary findings suggest that speed may have played a role in the incident.

According to Richards, their automobile and two other unoccupied vehicles in the parking area where it came to rest sustained minor damage but no injuries in the collision.
