Morris “Moe” Berg was an American Major League Baseball catcher and teacher who was known for being smart and able to speak many languages well. Berg was born in New York City on March 2, 1902.
He played baseball for many teams from 1926 to 1939, mostly for the Boston Red Sox, the Chicago White Sox, the Cleveland Indians, and the Washington Senators.
