The Upcoming Horror Movies Of 2023 And Beyond Are A Suitably Terrifying Smorgasbord Of Finger Food. In the upcoming horror movie Talk to Me, you can feast on five gruesome fingers and a preserved hand. Even though it’s only April, it’s already been an excellent year for the genre. Scream 6 was great for fans of slasher films, and The New Evil Dead Rise was a great return to form for the Splattery franchise, with even more scares than we thought were possible.

And it turns out that was just the beginning of the scary stuff. Now that Hollywood has decided that scary films can be a year-round source of entertainment – at last! – Horror fans have never had it better than they do now. If you want to escape the summer heat by going to a movie theatre, two new horror films will chill you to the bone without air conditioning.

Thirteen years after the first movie, Insidious: The Red Door comes from Blumhouse, with actor Patrick Wilson taking on directing duties for the first time. Talk To Me, which has that same disembodied hand, is a new independent horror movie from A24. We already know of many horror films that will be out in 2023. More on the way has yet to be given specific release dates. The Boogeyman – June 2, 2023

The 1973 short story “The Boogeyman” by Stephen King is being turned into a movie. It’s about two sisters who fall in love with an evil presence in their home after their mother dies tragically. At the same time, their father is having difficulty dealing with the loss. Shawn Levy is making the movie from 20th Century Studios, and Madison Hu, David Dastmalchian, and Chris Messina is in it. This summer, it will be in theatres.

Jagged Mind – June 15, 2023

Jagged Mind is a scary movie coming out this summer that Hulu subscribers will be able to watch. According to Variety, the film is about a woman who has strange blackouts and visions and meets a new boyfriend. This makes her realize she is stuck in a series of time loops. Maisie Richardson-Sellers, who is on Legends of Tomorrow, and Shannon Woodward, who is on Westworld, are both in Jagged Mind.

As the boy’s fear grows, he starts to think that his parents, Caplan and Starr, might be behind the dreadful secret and living in the house next to him.

Talk To Me – July 28, 2023

Someone always goes too far when someone finds an embalmed hand that lets them talk to the spirits of the dead. Talk to Me looks like another scary addition to A24’s creepy lineup, as friends can’t stop linking fingers with a dead body. When supernatural forces are let loose, people have a lot more to worry about than they should put body parts in the fridge to keep them fresh. This is the first feature film by YouTuber brothers Danny and Michael Philippoud, better known as Rackaracka, and it was a big hit at Sundance this year. Don’t Believe Us?

Haunted Mansion – August 11, 2023

Even though this is based on a Disneyland ride, we don’t expect it to be a full-on horror movie. It will be more like ‘happy ghosts,’ but we had to include it after the Haunted Mansion trailer showed straightforward horror movie influences. Disney is bringing the scary favorite back to theatres with the upcoming Haunted Mansion. It has a star-studded cast, including Jamie Lee Curtis as Madame Leota, Jared Leto as The Hat-Box Ghost, and many other stars like Owen Wilson, Danny DeVito, Dan Levy, LaKeith Stanfield, Tiffany Haddish, Winona Ryder, and Rosario Dawson.

In The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, director Michael Chaves is making The Nun 2, and everyone is returning to the convent. Bonnie Aarons is back as the evil spirit in a habit, and Taissa Farmiga comes back as Sister Irene from the first movie to keep The Conjuring in the family.

Poor Things – September 8, 2023

In Poor Things, Yorgos Lanthimos is in charge of a strong group. This sci-fi romance stars Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo, Willem Dafoe, and many other big names. It’s about a woman who dies and is brought back to life by a doctor.

The Exorcist – October 13, 2023

The Exorcist will be a follow-up to the famous movie from 1973. Leslie Odom Jr., Ellen Burstyn, and Ann Dowd will be in. For now, that’s all we know, but it’s likely to be a big release around Halloween.

Saw X – October 27, 2023

Even though not much is known about this project, Lionsgate has said that a tenth Saw movie will come out in October 2023. This movie will be led by Kevin Greutert, who directed Saw VI and Saw 3D and worked as an editor on many other films in the Saw series. Tobin Bell is also set to come back. Throughout the series, he memorably played Jigsaw.
