All of Us Are Dead is a K-Drama directed by Lee Jae-kyoo and Kim Nam-su, based on the Naver webtoon of the same name by Joo Dong-geun. It is a collaborative production between Film Monster (JTBC Studios) and Kim Jong-hak Production, with scripts written by Chun Sung-il.
The story revolves around the aftermath of a failed science experiment by Lee Byeong-chan, a teacher at Hyosan High. This experiment triggers a mysterious virus that transforms humans into zombies, causing it to rapidly spread throughout the school and the entire city. All of Us Are Dead Season 2 Renewal
After a long wait of more than four months, Netflix finally provided some positive updates regarding the future of All of Us Are Dead. On June 6, 2022, during Netflix Geeked Week 2022, the streaming service released a video featuring Yoon Chan-young, Park Ji-hu, Lomon, and Cho Yi-hyun, among others. In the video, the cast confirmed that All of Us Are Dead will return for a second season.
Reports say that even though the show was renewed for a second season because of how much people liked it, it’s unlikely that we’ll see the new episodes until at least late 2023 if the shooting hasn’t started in secret. This includes both the shooting of the show and the significant editing and special effects that come afterward.

All of Us Are Dead Season 2 Release Date
According To netflixlife.com, the release date for season 2 of All of Us Are Dead is currently unknown, and it remains unclear when the new season will be available. Speculation suggests that production commenced in 2022, which could potentially result in a late 2023 release for All of Us Are Dead season 2, representing the best-case scenario.
On the other hand, the worst-case scenario, which seems more plausible as it has been reported by Teen Vogue and not merely by online fans, is that production for season 2 has not yet begun. In this case, we would have to wait until 2024 for the new season to be released.
At present, we anticipate an early 2024 release for the new season. We will provide further updates on the release date as soon as we gather more information about this popular series.

Also, if the next season is about zombies and hambies, Ham Ji-hun will likely return and take the story in a new direction.
All of Us Are Dead Season 1: Recap
The deputy commander makes the decision to bomb the entire city of Hyosan in order to eliminate the infected. Cheong-san and the remaining survivors urgently search for a safe refuge. Regrettably, Gwi-nam arrives and bites Cheong-san on the arm, indicating that he will eventually transform into a zombie or a halfbie. Consequently, Cheong-san resolves to sacrifice himself to save his friends. As the other survivors escape, Cheong-san engages in a final battle with Gwi-nam, resulting in both of them falling down an elevator shaft and being consumed by flames.
The surviving students make their way to the evacuated city of Yangdong, where they confront a massive horde of zombies. The attack concludes with the loss of one member, Wu-jin. Meanwhile, Nam-ra struggles to control her bloodlust and decides to distance herself from the group to ensure their safety. After departing Yangdong City, the remaining six survivors (On-jo, Su-hyeok, Hyo-ryeong, Dae-su, Ha-ri, and Mi-jin) encounter the authorities and are eventually rescued and taken to a quarantine camp.
Fast forward four months later, the quarantine camp has become less stringent, allowing On-Jo to secretly venture out at night and leave gifts at the memorial near the camp. However, one night, she notices a campfire lit on the rooftop of Hyosan High. Intrigued, she and the other students decide to investigate. Surprisingly, they discover Nam-ra on the rooftop and attempt to convince her to return to the camp. But Nam-ra informs them that she cannot do so because there are more halfbies like her wandering around.
Then, Nam-ra scans her surroundings before uttering the words, “They’re back.” Although she doesn’t specify who “they” are, it’s reasonable to assume she is referring to other halfbies. She bids her friends farewell and jumps off the rooftop. On-Jo and the others approach the edge of the rooftop and gaze downward, visibly shocked by what they witness. The scene then transitions to the credits.
All of Us Are Dead Season 2 Storyline
In an interview with The Korea Herald before All of Us Are Dead was picked up for a second season, director Lee Jae-kyoo said he made the zombie show with a second season in mind. He said, “If the first season can be seen as having presented humanity‘s survival, the next season can talk about the survival of zombies.”
In the second season, it would be logical to explore a plot centered around the survival of zombies. The first season concludes with Nam-ra’s revelation that there are additional zombie-human hybrids like her still wandering about. It is possible that there are ordinary zombies as well. If the military becomes aware of the presence of zombies near the camp, they will probably attempt to eliminate them. Moreover, if they encounter a zombie-human hybrid, they might conduct experiments to discover a means of exterminating them. Hence, in the second season, Nam-ra and her new halfbie companions will need to concentrate on their survival.
Additionally, the military has apprehended Lee Byeong-chan’s infected wife and son, the originator of the virus, and instead of terminating them, they have chosen to utilize them for undisclosed purposes. Could they be conducting tests to find a cure, or do they have an entirely different agenda? All of these possibilities can be explored in a potential second season.
