Even though 10 Things I Hate About You came out 23 years ago, fans still can’t get enough of it. This movie stars Julia Stiles and Heath Ledger and is one of the most popular romantic comedies ever. In 10 Things, Kat (Stiles) and Bianca (Larisa Oleynik) are two sisters who couldn’t be more different.

Kat isn’t interested in how men look at her and is focused on her future. Patrick (Ledger), who is paid to date her so Bianca can date, woos her. Kat and Patrick couldn’t be more different from each other, but they work together.

There is a big show of love: a bleacher solo, a heartbreaking love confession song, and lots of ’90s feel-good vibes to love.

3. CLUELESS (1995)

Amy Heckerling wrote Clueless, a comedy about teens. It features Alicia Silverstone, Stacey Dash, Donald Faison, Paul Rudd, and Brittany Murphy. It came out in July 1995. Clueless is the best teen comedy ever.


It helped bring the genre, which had been controlled by John Hughes, into the present. It would later affect movies like Mean Girls. In Clueless, a rich and famous girl named Cher is shown going through high school. Josh, her astonishing stepbrother, and Tai, a dull transfer student, turn her life upside down.

Varsity Blues is a comedy about high school sports. W. Peter Iliff wrote it, and Brian Robbins directed it. James Van Der Beek (THE DAWSON), John Voight, Ron Lester, and Paul Walker are the actors in it.


In January 1999, the movie came out. The West Canaan Coyotes are not having a great season in football. The film shows how the team’s backup quarterback, Jonathan Moxon, deals with high school, girls, and football.

Empire Records is a drama about growing up with Liv Tyler, Renee Zellweger, Anthony LaPaglia, and Maxwell Caulfield in the lead roles. It was written by Carol Heikkinen, and Allan Moyle was responsible for the direction. In September 1995, the movie came out. Empire Records is an independent music store that a big company will soon buy.

But I’m a Cheerleader is a comedy for teens written by Brian Wayne Peterson and directed by Jamie Babbitt. Natasha Lyonne, Clea DuVall, Cathy Moriarty, and RuPaul appear in it. In July 2000, the movie came out. Megan Bloomfield’s high school life is perfect.


She is a girl with a cute football player as her boyfriend. But Megan is coming to terms with the fact that she is gay. She is one of many having trouble. Her parents have just found out that their daughter is gay and have sent her to conversion therapy.

In April 1999, Never Been Kissed came out. Journalist Josie Geller has never had much luck with dating. When her boss secretly sends her to a high school, she meets her English teacher and falls in love with him.

10. AMERICAN PIE (1999) 

Adam Herz wrote the script for the teen comedy American Pie, which was directed by Paul Weitz. It stars Jason Biggs, Chris Klein, Tara Reid, and Natasha Lyonne, among others. The movie came out in July 1999.

This goes with the “nerd guy likes the popular girl” plot line like many teen comedies. They do this both ways because the popular guy also wants the nerdy girl.
