‘Road House’ Release Date
Collider says that the movie Road House will finally come out on March 21, 2024. The remake will come 35 years after the first movie came out in theaters and 18 years after Road House 2, the bad direct-to-DVD sequel. The movie will be shown for the first time in the whole world at SXSW 2024 in Austin, Texas.

No, producers Joel Silver, Doug Liman, and Jake Gyllenhaal all wanted the movie to be shown in theaters after good test screenings, but it will only be available on Prime Video at first.
Amazon MGM Studios, which used to be called Amazon Studios, used to give many of their movies, like Manchester by the Sea and The Big Sick, an exclusive theater release.
But because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the streamer decided to put many of their movies on their service instead.
Amazon MGM Studios recently changed their approach by letting some of their most-anticipated movies, like Ben Affleck’s Air and Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn, only be shown in theaters before they came out on the service.
That won’t happen with the remake of Road House, though, because it will come out straight on Prime Video in March 2024.
What will the new movie “Road House” about?
An “adrenaline-fueled reimagining” of the “cult classic,” “Road House” is about Dalton (Gyllenhaal), an ex-UFC fighter who gets a job as a guard at a roadhouse in the Florida Keys.
But when he gets there, he finds that this paradise isn’t what it seems to be. Doug Liman is in charge of the movie, which promises violence, explosions, boat chases, and “some playful surprises along the way.” There were times in March 2023 when Gyllenhaal was seen shooting for the movie at a UFC 285 event in Las Vegas.
Who will play the lead roles in the remake of Road House with Jake Gyllenhaal?
According to RadioTimes, Elwood Dalton is a former UFC fighter who gets a job at the named roadhouse in the Florida Keys. Jake Gyllenhaal (Brokeback Mountain, Prisoners) will play the lead role.
Daniela Melchior will play Ellie, Elwood’s love interest, a nurse in the Florida Keys. Billy Magnussen, who played Brandt on Game Night, will play the bad guy in the movie. Boxer Conor McGregor will also be in Road House, which will be his first role as an actor.
