Speaking with TV Insider, Kane addressed whether the renewal will return for Leverage Redemption season 3. The actor who plays Eliot Spencer on the show says that the ongoing writer’s strike has made the show’s near future harder to predict. We have no idea. The writers’ strike has really put us — there’s nothing anybody can do right now, you know what I mean? Everybody’s hands are sort of tied with this thing. So we’re still sort of waiting to hear what’s going to go on with that.
Why Leverage Redemption Season 3 Should Happen?
In the exciting season 2 end of Leverage: Redemption, where old enemies come back, Sophie Devereaux (Bellman) starts to let go of her guilt. It’s a big step because the character’s past comes back to haunt her for most of the show. Even though the show is about the characters and gives Sophie a hint of hope, it doesn’t solve some critical questions. For example, Arthur (Damian O’Hare) and Ramsey (Ralph Brown) are arrested, but they are skilled crooks who could quickly get away.
A third season could also bring back James Marsters as Elliott’s rival, Carl, so that the two former Angel stars could go at it again. Leverage: Redemption needs a third season because there are still loose ends and insufficient answers for all the characters. It could be a satisfactory ending if there were more episodes and the marketing campaign stepped up a bit.
