She was born in Mumbai to a Tamil Brahmin (Palakkad Iyer) family with the name Adah Sarma.[1] Her Tamil father, S. L. Sharma, was born in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, and died in 2014.
He was a captain in the Indian Merchant Navy. Her mother, Sheila Sharma, is from Nattupura, Palakkad, Kerala, a classical Indian dancer, and mallakhamba yoga practitioner.
She is a Malayali. Sharma went to Auxilium Convent High School in Bandra for his education. She decided she wanted to be an actor when she was in the tenth grade. She wanted to quit school, but her folks told her she had to finish at least one more year.[9] She stopped learning when she was in the 12th grade. He does gymnastics.

She started dancing when she was three years old and got her degree in Kathak from the Natraj Gopi Krishna Kathak Dance Academy in Mumbai. She learned jazz and dance in the US for four months and said she was “outstanding” at belly dancing. She also does Silambam, an Indian martial art based on weapons. 1920 was Adah Sharma’s first movie in Hindi. It was a scary movie. Adah was nominated for Best Female Debut at the Filmfare Awards for her role as Lisa Singh Rathod, a possessed woman. After that, she was in the movies Phhir (2011) by Girish Dhamija, Hum Hai Raahi Car Ke (2013) by Jyotin Goel, and Hasee Toh Phasee (2015) by Vinil Mathew.
Sharma’s first movie in Telugu was the love comedy-drama Heart Attack, which came out in 2014.
