Shabash Feluda’s first season is based on Gangtoke Gondogol. Perfumer SS Selvankar (Arindam Sil) gets killed in an apparent road accident in Gangtok. Before he dies, he purchases the ancient Tibetan idol Jamantak from the Bengali simpleton Nishikanto Sarkar (Rudranil Ghosh). Feluda (Parambrata Chatterjee) and Topshe (Rwitobroto Mukherjee) meet Shashadhar Bose (Ritwick Chakraborty), an employee of SS Selvankar in Mumbai, en route to their vacation in Gangtok. Shashadhar Bose seeks Feluda’s assistance in resolving the case after Selvankar’s death, as the accident turns out to be suspicious.
